On Friday, 26th January, 2024, the Lagos State University Law Students’ Society will play host to distinguished legal luminaries as it holds its 37th edition of its annual Law Dinner.
The event which is scheduled to hold at the Greenlife Event Center, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos will have as Special Guest of Honour, Chief Babatunde Ogala, OFR, SAN. Chief Ogala is a member of the Governing Council of Lagos State University and a former National Legal Adviser of the All-Progressives Congress. Also attending as a guest speaker is Dr. Roland Otaru, SAN, FCIArb, a Bencher and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association. Dr. Otaru will deliver a keynote address on the theme: “Rekindling Democracy in Nigeria: The Hope for Good Governance and the Role of Lawyers”.
According to the organizers of the event, “the Law Dinner is a similitude of the Law Dinners held at the Nigerian Law School and this year’s edition is set to be in a grand style.”
The President of the Lagos State University Law Students’ Society, Olakunle Bamisile, describes the Special Guest of Honour, Babatunde Ogala, OFR, SAN as a distinguished Senior Advocate whose indelible impact in the legal profession and nation building is apparent and inspirational to many, especially Law Students across the Country.
The President further describes the Guest Speaker Dr. Roland Otaru, SAN, FCIArb as a legal luminary who serves as a beacon of hope to young Lawyers and aspirants of the Bar.
Senior Advocates, notable legal practitioners and alumni of the prestigious Faculty of Law, Lagos State University, are also set to grace the occasion with their esteemed presence.
