Police Arraign Alleged Fake Lawyer in Oyo

The Police has arraigned one Lukman Olayiwola, 38 years before His Worship S.T. Tolani-Balogun – the presiding Magistrate in the Chief Magistrate Court No 2, Oyo on  August 14, 2024 for allegedly posing as a lawyer.

The accused person was granted bail after pleading not guilty to a 2 count charge before the Magistrate while the police prosecutor – Fola Osegbade Esq. did not oppose the grant of application. The case was adjourned to October 3,2024 for hearing.

A legal team from NBA Oyo Branch led by a former Secretary of the branch O. Ashade Esq. watched the brief on behalf of the Bar during the arraignment. Other counsel that watched the brief were B.A Oyelami (the Branch Financial Secretary), M.B Olafenwa (Branch Young Lawyers Forum’s Secretary, L.C Ezejideakwu Esq, and M.K Idowu Esq.
