Prof. Professor Fabian Ajogwu, OFR, SAN has been re-elected as the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb).

This was revealed in a congratulatory message sent to the learned silk by his law firm, Kenna Partners.

The congratulatory message reads:

Congratulations to our Senior Partner

Our Senior Partner, Professor Fabian Ajogwu, OFR, SAN, has been re-elected as the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) at its recently concluded Annual General Meeting.

His re-election was attributed to the remarkable growth recorded under his leadership during his first tenure. The Institute also re-elected eight Governing Council members and appointed seven esteemed arbitrators to the Council.

Founded in 1979, NICArb is the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria with a mission to promote the administration and development of arbitration and Alternative Dispute (ADR) practice in Nigeria with members drawn from diverse vocational backgrounds.

Professor Ajogwu is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Professor of Corporate Governance at the Lagos Business School, Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic and the Chairman, Governance Board at Kenna Partners. He holds a doctorate degree in Law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland; an MBA from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona; and Law degrees from the University of Nigeria, and University of Lagos.

He is a member of the Editorial Board of the ‘Journal of Corporate Governance’, a publication of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria and a member of the Editorial Board of the ‘Journal of Law Practice’ of the body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria. He is a member of several professional bodies.
