Prof Festus Ukwueze Emerges UNN Dean of Faculty of Law

Prof. Festus Okechukwu Ukwueze has emerged the next Dean of Faculty of Law, University of Nigeria. According to source, he emerged by popular demand, massive support and collective ‘all Yes’ vote from the university senate.

Prof. Ukwueze is a Professor of Law in the Department of Commercial and Corporate Law, Faculty of Law, in the University. His research area covers all aspects of law of obligation and commercial, particularly Consumer Protection Law, Sale of Goods and Torts.

He teaches Competition and Consumer Protection Law, E-Commerce Law and Law of Carriage of Goods by Sea at the postgraduate level and Consumer Protection Law, Law of Torts, Health Law and Legal Research at the undergraduate level.

He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nigerian Association of Law Teachers and a foundation member of the Nigerian Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators.

Prof. Ukwueze’s  appointment takes effect from August 1, 2024.
