Rivers State Governor to Swear In Eight New Judges Sept 20

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara will on Friday, September 20, 2024, Seear-in eight judges recently recommended by the National Judicial Council (NJC).

Chief Registrar of Rivers State High Court, David Ihua-Maduenyi, made this known in a statement he signed on Wednesday, adding that the swearing in ceremony will take place by 12noon at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Port Harcourt.

The Judges includes, Justice Frank Onviri, Victor Chinedum Ugoji, Godswill Vidal-Obomanu, Rota Chituru-Oguguo.

Others are, Alatuwo Elkanah-Fubara, Barivima Sylvester Kokpan, Lesi Wofa-Adedipe and Ibietelela Innocent Madighi Obu.

Ihua-Maduenyi however, urged all the nominated judges to be seated at the venue by 11:30am.
