The NBA Congratulates Nigeria @ 56

Date:

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association,(NBA) Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud SAN, OON on behalf of National Officers, National Executive Committee (NEC) and other members of NBA congratulates the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, and all Nigerians on this occasion of 56th Independent Anniversary of our great country, Nigeria.

Mr. Mahmoud calls on all Nigerians especially our political leaders to consider the interest of our great country paramount over all other personal or sectional interests for progress, unity, peace, greatness and economic prosperity of all Nigerians.

in his congratulatory message, Mr. Mahmoud said “No doubt, our nascent democracy has been plagued with pessimism and the great vices of corruption, bad leadership and disunity among our people along the lines of ethnicity and religion; our institutions and politics have not delivered to us the quality and reality of good governance as we hoped; the judiciary still remains the last hope of the common man”.

Regardless of the current challenges facing the nation, Mr. Mahmoud SAN believes that they are painted with the silver lining. He encourages all Nigerians, especially the leadership and the citizenry likewise to stand for the truth always and seek to ensure quality of service at every stratum of the society we find ourselves.

God Bless Our Great Country, Nigeria.

Happy Independence.
