Three Arrested Over Fake Divorce Report About UBA Chairman Tony Elumelu

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Group has dismissed a viral report alleging that its Group Chairman, Tony Elumelu, divorced his wife, describing the claim as false, misleading, and malicious.

In a statement, the bank said the report circulating on social media was fabricated and falsely attributed to The Guardian, stressing that the newspaper did not publish such information.

UBA accused those behind the report of deliberately attempting to damage the reputation and personal life of its chairman, warning that the act would not go unpunished.
