Three Men Above 60yrs Arraigned In Osun For ‘Threat To Kill’

A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun-State, has arraigned a 77-years-old-man and two others for threatening to kill one Dr. Adekeye Olaore and damaging his property.

The three accused persons – Rafiu Kadejo (77yrs), Tafa Oyebode (61yrs) and Babatunde Tajudeen (66yrs) – were arraign on a five-count charge.

The prosecutor, Mr Olu Abodunrin, said: “Babatunde Tajudeen, Tafa Oyebode, Rafiu Kadejo and others now at large in June, 2016 at about 11:00 a.m. local time at Agunbelewo area of Osogbo in Osogbo did conspired among themselves to commit felony to wit: willful damage and threat to life.

“They destroyed erected wall valued at about 850,000 Naira total value of 853,000 naira property of Dr. Adekeye Olaore and also entered into a landed property of Dr. Adekeye Olaore.

“They did threatened to kill one Dr. Adekeye Olaore if he failed to abandon his building and landed property”.

Mr Olu said they committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516 of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002, section 451 6 (I) Vol II laws of the criminal code cap 34 Vol. II laws of Osun state of Nigeria 2002, section 81 of the criminal code cap 34. Vol. II laws of Osun- State of Nigeria, section 82 laws of the criminal code cap 34. Vol. II laws of Osun-State of Nigeria and section 86 (1) and (2) of the criminal code cap 34 vol. Law of Osun State of Nigeria, 2002.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mr Olushola Aluko, admitted them to bail and adjourned the case till 28 March, 2017 for hearing.
