The Coroner\u2019s inquest into the death of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad commenced sitting on today the 29th of September, 2023, at the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos.<\/p>\n
The Coroner inquest which was requested by the law firm of Falana and Falana Chambers via letter dated Sept 18th, 2023, which had asked the Chief Coroner of the High Court of Lagos State, Justice Mojisola Dada, to unravel the circumstances surrounding what it described as the \u201cvery tragic\u201d death of the late Mohbad under \u201cmysterious\u201d circumstances.<\/p>\n
Journalists were barred from gaining access to the courtroom and no reason was given for this development.<\/p>\n
However, it was gathered by Channels TV, that the coroner, Magistrate Taofikat Adedayo Shotobi, told parties in the inquest that the day\u2019s proceedings were to discuss the modalities for hearing of evidence.
\nThe hearing of the evidence is to commence on Friday, October 13, 2023.<\/p>\n
Mrs Funmi Falana who represented Mohbad\u2019s family alongside other lawyers at the inquest told journalists after the proceedings that the legal team would bring witnesses to the inquest to ensure that the cause of justice is served.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
