The family of Onwubiko Anagor in Ubaruisionye Nando community in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, have petitioned the Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachelu, demanding the intensified and thorough investigation of nine accused persons in connection with the alleged killing of their son, Christian Onwubiko Anagor.<\/p>\n
The two-page petition the family wrote through the brother of the deceased, Kenneth Anagor, was dispatched by the counsel, Joseph Odo, to the Chief Judge, and made available to journalists on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
In the petition, the family said the deceased was killed on September 19, 2021 at Ubaruisionye village, Nando in Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State, without any molestation.<\/p>\n
They added that nine accused persons (names withheld) who were later arrested in connection with the murder were later released by the police due to \u201cfaulty report on the matter without full investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n
The petition is titled, \u201cRe: Investigation into the murder of Christian Onwubiko Anagor: We demand further and fuller investigation as the information report is faulty and created to free the culprits\u201d.<\/p>\n
It read: \u201cWe do hereby plead with you, Sir, that the accused persons who actively participated in the killing and murder of Christian Onwubiko Anagor on the 19th day of September 2021 are yet to be arrested nor charged to court in Otuocha High Court OT\/33C\/2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe matter has been charged to the High Court of Otuocha Judicial Division Vide suit No, OT\/33C\/2022.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are pleading, Sir, that you command your personnel who are incorruptible to undertake this task as all efforts before now usually fell on deaf ears as these murderers have a huge financial chest to bribe and make them to compromise.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want thorough investigation into the matter to enable the prosecution to conclude the matter and prosecute the culprits.\u201d<\/p>\n
