Poetic Side: SENTENCING

To kill the bee hummingbird
With a nuclear bomb,
The fairyfly
With a cannon ball,
The dwarf minnow
With a giant lure,
And Lady Justice
With a hanging noose.

To the Bench
That sentenced the lonesome lamb,
After trial-free penance
And his repentant psalm,
Would you follow precedent
When it’s the wandering wolf,
And hit your gavel as hard
To prevent the slippery slope?
